Terms of Service

Welcome to Bar Phoebe. These terms govern your use of barphoebe.com, our ticket sales, and our reservation and inquiry forms. By using the site or buying a ticket, you agree to them.

Bar Phoebe is operated by Bar Phoebe LLC, a Missouri limited liability company based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Who can use the site

You need to be at least 18 to enter into these terms yourself. If you're younger, an adult who is legally responsible for you needs to agree on your behalf. Some events we host are 21+ or 18+ — those age rules are set per event and shown at checkout, on your ticket, and at the door.

Bar Phoebe LLC is a licensed premises. Entry always requires valid government-issued photo ID for events that carry an age restriction.

Ticket purchases

The seller

Tickets sold through this site are sold by Bar Phoebe LLC. Card payments are processed through Stripe. Bar Phoebe LLC is the merchant of record and the party responsible for fulfillment and refunds.

Prices, fees, and tax

Ticket prices are shown in U.S. dollars and set per tier. At checkout you'll see an itemized breakdown of ticket subtotal, any promo discount, a service fee that covers our card processing costs, and Missouri sales tax (13.475% at time of writing, subject to change). The total shown at checkout is the amount charged to your card.

Age restrictions and ID

Every event page lists an age restriction: 21+, 18+, or all ages. For 21+ and 18+ events you'll be asked to confirm you meet the age requirement before you can pay. You must present a valid, government-issued photo ID that matches the ticket holder's name at the door. Bar Phoebe reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who cannot present valid ID, appears intoxicated, or otherwise violates house policy. No refunds are given for entry refused on these grounds.

Refunds and exchanges

All ticket sales are final. Refunds are not issued for change of plans, weather, traffic, or any reason other than the ones listed below.

• If Bar Phoebe cancels the event, all ticket holders receive a full refund of the ticket subtotal, service fee, and tax to the original payment method within 10 business days.
• If Bar Phoebe reschedules the event, your ticket is valid for the new date. If you cannot attend, request a refund within 7 days of the reschedule announcement by emailing us at the address below and we'll refund the full amount.
• Duplicate purchases or clear billing errors will be refunded upon verification.

Transfers

Tickets are personal to the buyer. You're welcome to bring a companion who was not the buyer as long as the ticket holder is present at the door. Bulk resale is not permitted.

Delivery and QR codes

After a successful purchase we email your tickets, each with its own QR code, to the email address you provided at checkout. Present the QR at the door — on your phone or printed — along with photo ID. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder or email us and we'll resend it.

House rules

All ticket holders agree to comply with Bar Phoebe's posted house rules and staff instructions while inside the venue. This includes behavior toward staff and other guests, dress code where posted, and Missouri and Kansas City law regarding alcohol, controlled substances, and public conduct.

Reservations and private events

Reservation and private-event inquiries submitted through this site are handled through our partner Tipsy. A submission is a request, not a confirmation — we'll reach out to you to confirm details, deposits, and terms specific to the booking. Terms for private buyouts and larger reservations are provided separately at the time of booking.

Content on this site

The Bar Phoebe name, logo, artwork, photography, and site design are owned by Bar Phoebe LLC or used with permission. You're welcome to share our public content — including on social media — provided you don't alter it in a way that misleads people about who we are or what we're doing. Everything else is reserved.

Where we display third-party content — including the Royals and Chiefs schedules visible on our calendar — that content belongs to its respective owner and is used for informational purposes.

Third-party services

We use third-party services to run the site and the business. When you interact with those services through our pages, their own terms and privacy policies also apply. The main ones are:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Tipsy — reservations and private-event inquiries
• Vercel — hosting and analytics
• Resend — email delivery
• Google — advertising and conversion measurement

What we don't promise

The site is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly current at every moment. Programming, hours, menu items, prices, and ticket availability are subject to change.

Some links point to third-party sites we don't control. We're not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those sites.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bar Phoebe LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site or a ticket purchased through it. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the site or a ticket is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited under Missouri law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any suit brought must be filed in a state or federal court located in Jackson County, Missouri, and you agree to that court's jurisdiction.

Changes

We'll update these terms as things change and will note the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is material, we'll flag it at checkout or in an email if you're on the mailing list. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
